Wet or Dry: How Water Slide and Combo Rentals Work in Colorado

Can the same slide be used wet and dry?

Yes. Every water slide and combo in the Bounce Event Rentals fleet runs wet or dry from the same unit. Run it wet in summer for a splash-pool finish, or dry in cooler months and for younger riders. You do not rent a separate dry slide; you simply choose whether to add water.

How a wet setup works

For a wet slide, the crew brings the blower, hoses, and stakes and connects to a standard garden spigot within reach of the setup spot. Water runs down the slide surface into a splash pool at the bottom. The network’s wet units are run to keep a steady flow without wasting water, which matters in Colorado. Once the party ends, the crew returns to drain, pack, and remove the unit.

When to run dry

Run a slide or combo dry when the weather is cool, when guests are very young, or when the site has no easy water access. The play is the same minus the splash. Many spring, fall, and indoor events use the exact same units dry. See seasonal timing at Seasonal Rentals.

What you need on site

  • Wet: a standard garden spigot near the setup spot, a power outlet within about 50 feet, and a level area.
  • Dry: a power outlet within about 50 feet and a level area; no water needed.
